Engineering Dimensions

Engineering Dimensions is published quarterly by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) and is distributed to all PEO-licensed professional engineers. The magazine provides information relevant to the practice of professional engineering and promotes awareness of the Professional Engineers Act and the activities of the association.

In this issue:   The engineering profession’s contributions to medicine have been well documented, but a story that still needs telling is the steady emergence of healthcare engineering. This issue looks at the impact of engineering on the design, construction and sustainability of new “smart” hospitals as well as the profession’s work in the redevelopment and optimization of existing healthcare infrastructure—all with a view to obtaining better health outcomes.
